Hyundai has officially launched the 2018 Hyundai i20 Active in India with new features and improvements. While the European model got a huge facelift recently, there are not many changes to the specifications when it comes to Indian edition. However, the new edition will be available by the end of 2019 or early 2019.
The 2018 Hyundai i20 Active features a dual-tone Marina Blue and Polar White paint scheme in addition to white/black and brown/black color variants. The vehicle is also equipped with a new boot lid applique coupled with an Active label at the rear. The new model also offers body cladding and roof rails to provide a rugged look. Hence, you can use Hyundai i20 Active even in extreme environmental conditions.
The 2018 Hyundai i20 Active includes a 7-inch touch-enabled infotainment system, which is similar to that of the Elite i20. The cabin has been improved with body-colored accents on the seats and dashboard including a new pattern for the seat upholstery.
The Hyundai i20 Active is integrated with 1.2-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel engine respectively. The petrol engine is capable of producing 82bhp and 114Nm of torque, while the diesel engine delivers 89bhp and 220Nm of torque. The petrol and diesel engines are assembled with a 5-speed and 6-speed manual gearbox respectively.
Regarding pricing, the standard variant of the i20 Active will cost Rs 6.99 lakh in New Delhi, while the premium top-spec trim will hit the showrooms for Rs 10 lakh. The pricing is subject to change depending upon the taxes.
