Transsion Holdings, who owns the popular Infinix brand has become the fifth largest mobile company in India. As of Q1 2018, the company grabbed 4 percent market share although only a few smartphones available on their kitty.
In addition to Infinix, the Transsion Holdings owns Tecno, Itel Spice, and Oraimo brands. The value of 4 percent is combined for these three brands. Among all the brands, Infinix and Techni are the popular brands when it comes to the smartphone market.
According to Counterpoint research, the overall market share of itel is over 17 percent in the featurephone segment. Commenting on the development, Marco Ma, Chief Managing Director, Transsion India disclosed that they are consistently working towards to providing not only world-class experience but also customized mobile solutions to the Indian consumers.
Talking about Tecno, the company launched Camon series smartphones with FullView display. The Infinix Hot S3 was recently launched with selfie-centric capabilities coupled with FullView display.
According to Transsion Holdings, there are over 1.05 lakh retailers and 3000 channel partners across India. The company is gearing up to establish a strong foothold by expanding their reach to other places.
