Reliance Jio is scheduled to provide 1.1TB free data @ 100Mbps in a bid to establish JioFiber FTTH (fibre to the home) broadband connectivity networks. According to sources, the JioFiber FTTH will provide 100GB of free data at 100Mbps bandwidth. The customers will be able to top-up 40GB of free data 25 times per month, which equates to 1TB of free data per month.
If the rumors are to be believed, the JioFiber FTTH will be available for not only households but also enterprise customers. The company is expected to provide the service to 100 million television households across 30 cities in India. You need to pay a security deposit of Rs 4500 to avail the JioFiber connection.
Based on the reports, Reliance Jio has completed the laying of more than 3 lakh kilometers of optic fiber network across India. The Ambani-owned company also announced the launch of JioInteract, which is the world’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI) based brand engagement platform.
Jio has tied up with Amitabh Bachchan to promote ‘102 Not Out’, which is a comedy-drama film. You will be able to ask questions related to the film via the new AI-based platform. It is also possible to book movie tickets in partnership with BookMyShow.
Talking about the earnings, the Reliance Jio has posted a net profit of Rs 510 crore in Q1 2018 when compared to Rs 504 crore in the Q4 2017. According to Jio, the customers showed a high level of activity with 9.7GB average data consumption per user every month. The analytics showed total consumption of over 240 crore hours per month on the emerging 4G VoLTE network.
