Walmart Effect: The email ID cs@flipkart.com is no longer in use

Walmart acquired more than 70 percent stake in Flipkart recently putting an end to all speculations and rumors. The latest news is that Flipkart has reportedly discontinued the customer support email id, which existed for the past 10 years.

The rumor mills were abuzz with news and stories about possible acquisitions by Amazon and Walmart. Flipkart board decided to ink a deal with Walmart because it will provide long-term growth and fuel competition.

Flipkart is gearing up to conduct Big Shopping Days from May 13 to 16. This is the first sale after the acquisition of Flipkart by Walmart. As a customer, you can expect huge discounts for a wide range of products.

We emailed to customer care as usual with a query regarding the Flipkart Big Shopping Days. However, the company staff didn’t reply back with the answer.

We were surprised to receive an email with the subject “The email ID cs@flipkart.com is no longer in use”. The email states that the ID no longer in use and prompts us to visit the Help Centre for assistance.

We also communicated our query through the web-based support system but we are yet to receive an automated email with an Incident number like they did in the past. We wonder how the company can disable their support email when they are about to conduct a mega sale event.

From our point of view, Flipkart is currently working to create a new email id for providing customer support. Will it originate from Walmart.in domain? Let’s wait and see.

Please share your views about the discontinuation of the customer service email by Flipkart. Will it affect customers?
