BSNL has launched Data Tsunami pack with 1.5GB data per day for 26 days for Rs 98. If you pay Rs 98, you will be able to enjoy 1.5GB data per day for a period of 28 days. The new plan is being introduced to curb competition from Reliance Jio and other private players. According to BSNL, the new package will be available across India and will be named as STV 98.
You will be able to enjoy 39GB data for only Rs 98. However, the plan is valid for only 28 days and doesn’t include calling or SMS benefits and will be under 3G. Interestingly, companies like Reliance Jio are offering 4G services at ultrafast speeds. There is no reason to opt for 3G when you can get 4G at similar prices.
If you look at Airtel and Jio, they offer cheaper plans with unlimited calling and SMS benefits. If BSNL needs to tap the rich potential, then they should provide enhanced plans with several resources. Even though BSNL’s STV 98 package is cost-effective, the lack of unlimited calling and SMS benefits will deviate customers to provide mobile service providers.
To recall, BSNL introduced Rs 118 package, which offered 1GB data and unlimited calling for 28 days. Moreover, the state-owned company also announced a method to purchase its products directly via social media.
