Amazon Alexa for Business has been upgraded with Alexa Smart Scheduling Assistant, which enables the cloud-based voice assistant to manage users calendars. You can now schedule 1:1 meetings including the ability to move meetings just by using voice. The Alexa Smart Scheduling Assistant fetches the free time on attendees calendars, which will ultimately save valuable time.
To work with Alexa Smart Scheduling Assistant functionality, your users need to link their corporate and personal calendars to their Alexa account. After linking their calendars, the Smart Scheduling Assistant will provide suggestions when both meeting attendees are available. Your users need to provide a command such as Alexa, schedule a meeting with Mark.
Alexa now lets you schedule 1:1 meetings with suggested availability and move meetings in your calendar using just your voice. 🗣 📆 Learn how: https://t.co/bu2cNQqng3

The system will also verify the personal calendars to ensure the meeting is not booked at a time that is shown as busy. It is possible to move a meeting and will also issue an updated meeting invite to all participants. If an event is already scheduled at the relevant time, the Alexa will issue alerts and provide remedial suggestions.
Alexa for Business provides all the required tools to manage Alexa devices, users, and skills. The meeting and scheduling capabilities are available in all AWS regions.
