Qualcomm has officially announced the launch of the Snapdragon 710 processor with a special focus on AR and AI. The chipset is manufactured based on 10nm technology, which offers enhanced performance when compared to previous counterparts. The intention of the company is to offer high-end advanced performance without sacrificing power. Moreover, the Snapdragon 710 ships with AR and AI functionalities to drive users to the new-generation computing.
The Snapdragon 710 features a multi-core AI engine using which you can share context-centric images and videos including customized voice and speech patterns. The processor provides heterogeneous computing technology due to the addition of Qualcomm Hexagon DSP, Adreno Visual Processing subsystem, and Kryo CPU.
The main highlight of the Snapdragon 710 is that it includes Qualcomm Spectra 250 ISP, which is capable of offering professional images and videos even in low-light conditions. The chipset also ships with noise reduction, fast autofocus, image stabilization, smooth zoom in addition to real-time Bokeh effects.
The Snapdragon 710 provides support for 4K HDR playback, 13MP single IS and 20MP dual ISP. The integrated AI engine is capable of delivering smooth and speed video transfer with depth sensing face unlock capability. The display will deliver improved brightness coupled with wide color gamut.
Under the hood, the Snapdragon 710 processor features Snapdragon X15 LTE Modem (category 15) with the ability to download contents up to 800Mbps speed. The chipset is backed by 4×4 MIMO technology with 70 percent enhanced connectivity even in weak signals.
Qualcomm has specifically designed to offer 40 percent decreased power consumption not only for gaming but also for 4K HDR playback. You will experience 20 percent reduction while streaming videos. The advantage of the processor is the integration of Quick Charge 4+ fast charging technology using which you can charge 50 percent in less than 15 minutes.
We expect the upcoming Samsung Galaxy smartphones to ship with the Snapdragon 710 processor. However, we don’t have any official confirmation as to when the company will launch the first handset with the new processor. You can also expect companies like Xiaomi, Vivo, and Oppo to take advantage of the new chipset.
