HTC inks partnership with McLaren F1 to offer stunning VR and AR experience

McLaren F1 has announced a strategic partnership with HTC to integrate the trending Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality experiences during the gaming sessions. The collaboration assumes great significance with the smartphone manufacturers making a strong grip to establish their mark in the VR and AR segment.

According to sources, HTC is scheduled to launch a McLaren-themed Vive VR headset named ViVe Pro to celebrate the business partnership. The McLaren is gearing up to make use of the Vive Pro for the upcoming first VR esports competition. The team has got wide experience in the conduct of sports because they were part of the World’s Fastest Gamer event held in 2017.

We don’t have any information as to when HTC will unveil the new headset but the launch is on the cards. The sharp increase in the use of the VR headsets is a testimony of the fact that the technology is trending fast.

You will even find low-cost VR headsets on various e-commerce stores. However, they won’t serve the real purpose because they are not compatible with all the apps. Going forward, we can see the emergence of new VR headsets, which will redefine the world.
