No doubt, shopping from the comforts of your home is really fun since you can but the products at discounted price. However, there are few problems that creep in from time time. A Kerala-based customer had placed an order for Redmi Note 5 Pro but received candles and washing bar inside the package.
Last Wednesday, a Flipkart customer with the name Fanan Kunnambaram from Malappuram placed an order for the recently launched Redmi Note 5 Pro with great excitement. He had paid Rs 14999 via Debit Card. The e-commerce retailer promptly shipped the item and Fanan accepted the courier on May 26.
Fanan was shocked when he opened the package. He found a set of candlesticks wrapped inside the bubble wraps. In addition to candlesticks, he also found washing soap inside the package. He immediately contacted the courier company but they declined to provide any assistance.
Fanan established contact with Flipkart customer service only to know that an inquiry will be held before refund. He told Asianet News that Flipkart will have to locate the source of the problem. It could be a fault on the part of the seller or the courier company. The matter will be investigated and the stand of the Flipkart will be known only after that, Fanan told media.
The customer had requested a refund and it will be processed only after the completion of the inquiry. Fanan also told the media that he will initiate legal action if the money he paid is not refunded within the next few days.
Even though e-commerce is a facility offered to customers to buy instantly, we don’t know how the items are packed. You will be able to view the product you have ordered only after the receipt of the package.
The above problem occurs rarely nowadays because sellers have taken precautions to prevent the incidents. The policies of Flipkart have been questioned by customers very often through various forums. However, the company is in no mood to listen. We hope the buyer will get justice soon and will get the money back to his account.
