Xiaomi is gearing up to launch Mi Band 3 along with premium smartphones and operating platform in China on May 31. According to reports, the company will launch the much-awaited Mi 8 and MIUI 10.
The image of the upcoming Mi Band 3 has surfaced inside the official Chinese mobile app of the company and was originally spotted by CNBeta. The listing has been deleted immediately by Xiaomi. Moreover, the fitness tracker will be available for CNY 169 as revealed on the app. The pricing looks competitive and will compete with other identical fitness trackers.
Based on the reports, the Mi Band 3 is being manufactured with more durability than the previous counterparts. The band will look identical to that of the Mi Band 2 ad HRX editions but it will ship with a full touch display.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 3 will be equipped with a touch-enabled OLED display with support for gestures. You will be able to swipe up, down, left and right to navigate various functions and items. The main attraction of the Mi Band 3 is the possible integration of an advanced heart rate sensor alongside water-resistant capability with IP67 technology.
The tracker will also ship with NFC, step counter, calorie counter including sleep tracking functionality. Like in the case of the previous Mi Bands, you will be able to sync data via the Mi Fit app. To recall, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun was recently seen wearing the rumored Mi Band 3 during a launch event in China.
