But why do they ask for customers pan card or Aadhaar no.

    • Anand Narayanaswamy

I think it’s mandatory as per RBI. Amazon India also asks for Aadhaar or PAN number.

Hi, but don’t find it safe providing my PAN and Aadhar card details to a foreign selling platform. They should come up with another verification method.

  4. Concerned Citizen

Rubbish. Amazon India does not ask for Aadhar or PAN number.

    Dear mr Anand,

As you said we have to provide Aadhar Number for Amazon absolutely correct, but in case of banggood its not where we are keeping our money like E-wallets!

banggood or the dlocal payment system is not providing any e-wallet services or payments bank services. So it is mandatory to provide Aadhar or pan information.. we have recently seen what happen to the TRAI personnel by providing his Aadhar number.. the app is asking even I tried to pay using PayPal.. so stopped transaction and banggood lost so many customers like this..

  7. Nitin Shenvi

I tried first transaction. Asking for Aadhar Number and Pan card. I am also using many other applications no one is asking for Aadhar or Pan. That means, I think something fishy about this site or service.
