Xiaomi launched the much-awaited Mi Band 3 on May 31 along with premium smartphones like Mi 8. The latest news is that Mi Band 3 will receive English language support within the next few days via an OTA firmware update.
A user, who purchased the Mi Band 3 took to Mi official forum and revealed that when he established the initial connection, the Mi Band 3 got the required update firmware. However, the band displayed information in the Chinese language even with apps with multiple languages.
KoHsetGyi, Xiaomi forum Moderator replied to the query by stating that the Mi Band 3 will receive a firmware update with the English language within the next few days. However, there is no information about the estimated timeframe for the rollout of the update. We don’t know how far the information disclosed by the user is true but you can believe because it originates from a moderator.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 3 ships with sleep tracking functionality, heart rate sensor, calorie/steps count including the ability to view notifications, SMS, and alerts. The main highlight of the third generation band is the addition of a large 0.78-inch OLED display. Moreover, the band is resistant to water up to 50 meters depth.
You just need to raise the wrist to view the information. The band also includes an accurate pedometer and sedentary reminder. The band is capable of delivering up to 20 days ultra-long standby time.
