OnePlus 6 gets OxygenOS 5.1.6 update with enhanced features

OnePlus has rolled out OxygenOS 5.1.6 for the recently released OnePlus 6 smartphone. Like in the case of all the previous updates, the software bits will be available via OTA in a phased manner. If you work with OnePlus 6, then you should check out for the presence of the update. You should also manually navigate to Settings menu if you are unable to view any update notifications.

The screenshot of the OxygenOS 5.1.6 reveals that the new software measures 223MB in size. The OxygenOS 5.1.6 provides support for Idea VoLTE services in India. The company also fixed the stability issues associated with Dual Sim Cards.

The OxygenOS 5.1.6 brings in Portrait mode for the front camera and also enabled a facility to preview Light Bokeh effect in Portrait mode of the rear camera. After the installation of the update, you will experience optimized call quality.

The latest OxygenOS 5.1.6 update also comes with battery percentage in status bar coupled with enhanced ringtone volume and sound quality. You can now schedule Do Not Disturb (DND) mode. Moreover, the update also adds Dual-4G network option in SIM and network settings. The latest update also adds optimized power consumption and enhanced system stability.

You will be able to automatically answer incoming calls when establishing connectivity with Bluetooth-enabled devices. The product team has added smart answer for Bluetooth.

Before proceeding to install the update, you should establish connectivity with Wi-Fi and charge the handset up to full capacity. However, you only need to charge 50 percent because the capacity of the update is less. As mentioned above, the OxygenOS 5.1.6 update will be made available via OTA in a phased manner. Hence, it will take few days for the update to reflect on your handset.
