Vodafone Pushes SuperNet 4G in Kedarnath to Enhance Digital Connectivity

Vodafone has announced the roll-out of its Vodafone SuperNet 4G services in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand to offer premium seamless connectivity solutions to over half a million pilgrims visiting the holy shrine each year. The company has successfully installed the 4G site in the vicinity of the temple at a height of about 11,755 ft. The main aim is to enable customers to experience seamless VODAFONE SuperNet 4G in and around the temple premises.

Vodafone is the first private telecom service provider to offer Vodafone SuperNet 4G at Kedarnath. The launch coincides with the annual Chardham Yatra which draws pilgrims across the country to the recently renovated shrine set in the picturesque Rudraprayag district.

The advantage of the initiative is that customers visiting the shrine can now share their divine experience with family and friends not only across India but also International. You can make use of social media to share images and videos including voice and video calls.

Commenting on the development, Dilip Kumar Ganta, Business Head – UP West, Vodafone India disclosed that the company is proud to launch Vodafone SuperNet 4G in Kedarnath. Ganta added that it was a big challenge to implement 4G services in 11755ft terrain. The company is committed towards Digital India and Digital Uttarakhand.

The Chardham Yatra 2018 season will be immersed with reliable and 24×7 connectivity to pilgrims visiting Kedarnath. Vodafone has pumped Rs 300 crores to strengthen connectivity in the Uttarakhand & Uttar Pradesh West region including remote locations as part of the Digital Uttarakhand initiative.

The launch of the Vodafone SuperNet 4G in Kedarnath will enable officials to arrange, supervise and manage the yatra trek route during emergency situations. The service will enable worry-free journey and also enhances the spiritual experience to a large extent.

Vodafone has provided 4G data connectivity 50 500+ cities in Kumaon and Garhwal including Nainital, Tehri, Chamoli, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Garhwal, Almora, Dehradun, and Champawat.
