Xiaomi released the Mi Band 3 fitness tracker on May 31 in China. However, the Mi Band 3 was shipped with support for the Chinese language. You will be able to work with the band but the displayed information will be Chinese.
The latest news is that Geekbuying has confirmed to a user via Reddit that a global firmware will be rolled out within three months. The e-commerce retailer also confirmed that the band will also receive NFC support but there is no specific time schedule.
If you had purchased the Mi Band 3, then the wearable will receive an update with the English language probably before the end of August.
We also established contact with Gearvita and they replied back by stating that the update rollout depends on the Xiaomi and the company is yet to release the English version. They didn’t provide any time frame for the launch of the firmware update.
The Mi Band 3 features a 0.78-inch OLED touch display with a resolution 128×80 pixels. You will be able to view information such as date, time and other parameters with the help of a big display. Moreover, you just need to raise the wrist to view information related to date, time and heart rate.
