Xiaomi has launched the much-awaited Mi Pocket Speaker 2 in Black and White color variants. The speaker is currently available on Mi.com starting June 21. The company sources revealed to us that the Mi Pocket Speaker 2 is designed in such a way that it looks like a simple speaker with all the required controls. Moreover, the speaker provides support for Bluetooth 4.1 with Professional Tymphany 5W speaker.
The main attraction of the Mi Pocket Speaker 2 is its ability to deliver a standby time of over 7 hours via the embedded 1200mAh Li-Polymer battery. Moreover, the speaker will work with up to 10 meters distance. The speaker produces full bass coupled with clear treble because of the partnership with German-based Tymphany.
The Mi Pocket Speaker 2 is designed using PC and ABS body with durability in mind. The upper portion is manufactured using aluminum with an exclusive anodized oxide coating. The speaker also includes an LED indicator on the bottom, which is a bit larger than the Mi Bluetooth Speaker 2.
The speaker offers a fabric net design, which delivers crystal clear sound with enhanced bass. The controls located on the top can be used to play and also to adjust volume.
The highlight of the speaker is that you just need to rotate the top to adjust the volume, which is not available in the previous Mi speakers. If you press the concealed push button for 2 seconds, you will be to turn on or off the speaker. You can also use the integrated microphone to perform hands-free calling.
