Microsoft Edge for Android will provide a facility to natively block ads. Microsoft has announced that they have integrated native adblocking via Eyeo’s AdBlock Plus software to the beta version of the Edge browser for the Android operating platform. You will have to wait little longer if you are running a stable version of the Edge.
If you are working with the beta version of Edge on Android, you will be able to work with the feature. However, the update has been rolled out in a phased manner and will take time to hit smartphones. In addition to Android, Microsoft also added the native adblocking functionality to the iOS app.
Microsoft has integrated Eyeo’s AdBlock Plus software, which is the best on the market. As a user, you need not have to download the software separately. You just need to enable adblocking from the settings page.
The move by Redmond-based software giant is to provide an effective measure for users to protect their content without displaying any annoying advertisements. Nowadays, spyware is infused via the ads and the software silently protects the device from the invasion of the adwares and spywares. The AdBlock Plus is capable of providing complete protection, unlike other competing software which provides negligible protection.
Microsoft is little slow when it comes to the mobile scenario and the latest move is been regarded as a punch to guide users to effectively make use of the native adblocking. The aim is to secure smartphones and tablets from the eyes of adware, spyware, and trojans.
