BSNL postpaid plans gets better with unlimited data

BSNL has announced the launch of unlimited data facility with the Postpaid and data add-on plans. According to company sources, the new offering will start from July 1. Moreover, the state-owned company has kept the FUP speed at 40kbps for all the postpaid plans including add-on plans.

In a statement released to the press, BSNL disclosed that the data for all the Postpaid mobile plans will be converted to unlimited. However, the speed will be slashed to 40Kbps after the available free data limit. The plans start from Rs 99 with a maximum of Rs 1525.

You will get 500MB per month for the BSNL Plan 99, while the Rs 399 plans come with 30GB data per month. If you would like to experience unlimited data without any FUP limit, you need to opt for Rs 1525 plan.

Regarding add-on plans, the plans start at Rs 50 with a maximum of Rs 1711. While the Rs 50 plan provides 0.55GB, the Rs 666 package offers 11GB of data with a speed of 40Kbps.

The latest move by the BSNL is mainly done to compete with the likes of Reliance Jio. Reliance has been providing 1.5GB data per day for Rs 399 for three months. This is a highly popular plan among tech enthusiasts since they can make use of the data to upload videos and also to download apps. The competitors Vodafone and Airtel also offers similar plans but nothing can beat Reliance Jio because of the simplicity and access to a wide range of apps such as JioTV, JioXPressNews and much more.
