Vodafone has announced the launch of the two Vodafone Mobile Vans, which will take lakhs of pilgrims on their annual padayatra to Pandharpur. The Vodafone Mobile Vans was launched by the trustees of Tukaram Maharaj and Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhis in presence of Ashish Chandra, Business Head, Maharashtra & Goa Circle, Vodafone India.
The Vodafone Mobile Vans will travel with the Warkaris all through their journey from Pune to Pandharpur. The Warkaris will accompany each van on the Palkhi routes of Tukaram Maharaj and Dnyaneshwar Maharaj.
Commenting on the development, Ashish Chandra disclosed that the company is proud to be associated with the Pandharpur Yatra for the sixth year in a row. Vodafone is extremely happy to support the Pandharpur Yatra with premium Vodafone Mobile Vans with entertainment modules to help Warkaris keep in touch with their loved ones.
The advantage of Vodafone Mobile Vans is the integration of free calling facility, mobile phone charging points, recharge vouchers including M-Pesa money transfer service. The aim is to enable Warkaris to stay in touch with their loved ones throughout the duration of their journey.
Additionally, Vodafone has newly installed LED monitor inside each Vodafone Mobile Vans to enable live streaming of content such as news, bhakti bhajans and religious movies through Vodafone Play. The intention is to not only enable Warkaris to enjoy unlimited calling facilities but also awesome entertainment experience.
The unlimited free calling facilities can be used at all halting points of the Palkhi on the way to Pandharpur. You will find 8 phones and over 50 charging points for the benefit of Warkaris inside each van.
