If rumors are to be believed, Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the next-generation Mi A2 smartphone. The news assumes relevance with a smartphone reportedly that of Mi A2 surfaced on the web. According to reports, the upcoming Mi A2 will be pre-loaded with stock Android 8.1 Oreo platform.
The leak reveals the front side of the display and the About phone content from the settings menu. The bezels are ordinary and they are in White color. However, reports indicate that the display will have 18:9 aspect ratio. We can spot three sensors on the top bezel followed by a sticker on the bottom bezel. The selfie camera will consist of a powerful sensor alongside an LED Flash.
The display clearly states that the handset is indeed Mi A2 and is loaded with Android 8.1.0 platform. The Android security patch level has been updated to May 5, 2018. The leaked image also provides information related to Baseband and Kernel versions.
Under the hood, the Mi A2 will be powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor, 4GB/6GB RAM paired with up to 128GB expandable internal storage. The rear side will offer dual cameras and the selfie camera will house an AI-enabled 20MP sensor with LED Flash.
There are reports that Xiaomi has abandoned the release of Mi A2 after the dismal performance of Mi A1. However, we can spot several leaks across the Internet about the upcoming smartphone.
