Microsoft launches Whiteboard app on Windows 10

Microsoft has launched the official Whiteboard app for Windows 10. According to reports, the company will push the update for iOS and the web within the next few days. However, we don’t have any information about when the company will launch an Android version. If the company intends to release an iOS version, then they should release an Android version because of the huge market share.

The main purpose of the Whiteboard app is to create notes on a virtual Whiteboard. You will be able to share and edit the content easily across various devices.

The Whiteboard app enables you to make use of the digital canvas to draw, sketch and erase content including the ability to insert sticky notes. The search functionality can be used to fetch images. To work with the app, you should sign in to your Office 365 account. You will be able to easily collaborate with other team members after a successful login attempt.

Responding to media queries, Microsoft revealed that more than 200,000 customers have worked with the Whiteboard app since its’ launch in December. The feedback obtained from the beta testers were used to add additional features. The image manipulation capability has been added based on user inputs. You can also enhance the shape and table structures with improvements to accessibility.

Microsoft added that one person in the team should have a license to Office 365 subscription. You should obtain a commercial license of Office 365 to work with iOS and web-based versions of the app.
