Tata Power has established a partnership with Vodafone to enable its customers to pay bills through the Vodafone M-Pesa e-wallet. The unique facility enables instant and easy cash payment of power supply bills by Tata Power consumers. It can also be availed from nearly 150 and more Vodafone Mini Stores across Mumbai as per the Digital India initiative.
Commenting on the development, Praveer Sinha, CEO & MD, Tata Power disclosed that the company is constantly working to harness the use of technology. The main aim is to improve the overall customer service and experience. He added that Tata Power will change the way we pay electricity bills by adding additional avenues for the benefit of consumers.
Sinha revealed that the facility will provide safe payment options to the consumers. Moreover, it will contribute to the financial inclusion in the country.
As a customer of Tata Power, you can now transact and make bill payments from the convenience of home, office and on the go. In addition to smartphones, you can also make payments digitally through the e-wallet using feature phones. You can also walk-in into any of the Vodafone Mini Stores spread across Mumbai, present the bills and remit cash directly at the counter.
