During the annual AGM, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani announced the launch of the next-generation JioPhone 2. The handset will be available for flash sale at 12 PM on August 16. The main attraction of JioPhone 2 is the integration of a full QWERTY keypad coupled with a horizontal viewing experience.

The JioPhone 2 provides full support for 4G connectivity across India with HD voice. You will be able to experience crystal clear voice calling without any call drops. The phone comes with free voice calls alongside unlimited data. You will be able to watch movies and live TV via the bundled apps. Moreover, you can share content and images via Facebook.

On the specifications front, the JioPhone 2 is equipped with a 2.4-inch QVGA TFT display with SD card slot up to 128GB expansion capability. The handset is powered by a 2000mAh battery, which is capable of delivering 15 days of standby time. The integration of QWERTY keyboard helps you to type easily. The keyboard provides 4-way navigation.

While the rear camera offers a 2MP sensor, the front camera is integrated with a paltry 0.3MP sensor. The JioPhone 2 also provides support for torchlight, FM Radio, ringtones, microphone, speaker, call history including a dedicated headphone port.

The JioPhone 2 includes a dedicated voice assistant with access to JioMusic, JioCinema, JioXpressNews and much more. The phone provides support for 18 regional languages. You can also establish connectivity to any TV with the help of JioMediaCable.
