Xiaomi not only manufacturers smartphones but also premium wearables. The company announced that Xiaomi India continues to be Number 1 wearables brand in India. According to a report released by the IDC, the market share of Xiaomi Mi Band earable is pegged at 45.8% when compared to other competing brands. Moreover, one out of two wearables sold in India is Mi Band. The company saw a huge growth of 31% in Q2 2018 and is touted as 2.5x bigger than the Number 2 brand.
The main highlight of the Mi Band is that you only need to purchase the racker and can use it. There is no need to buy separate subscriptions like other competing brands. We have seen several brands entering the market with similar fitness trackers but ended up at a loss because they imposed subscriptions. With Mi Band, you just need to purchase the brand, install the Mi Fit app and you can enjoy unlimited monitoring of health data.
Xiaomi recently released Mi Band 3 in China. The band features a 0.78-inch OLED display with support for sleep tracking, steps, distance, and calories. It also includes a sedentary reminder feature, which helps you to be active without sitting for a long time.
The band is resistant to water up to 50ATM via IP68 technology. You just need to raise the wrist to view the data and the band can be synced to Mi Fit app. The Mi Band 3 carries a 110mAh battery, which is capable of delivering a standby time of over 20 days.
