Xiaomi is scheduled to add two more flagship smartphone to its kitty within the next few days. The company is slated to launch Mi 8 Youth and Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition in China. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth edition will be available in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants. While the 4GB RAM model comes with 64GB storage, the 6GB RAM variant will be available in both 64GB and 128GB expandable internal storage. Furthermore, the Mi 8 Youth edition will be available in Blue, Space Gray and Gold color variants.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition, meanwhile, will be available in 6GB and 8GB RAM models. Interestingly, the storage capacity will be available in 128GB storage. However, the fingerprint edition model will be only available in Gold and Black color variants.
We don’t have any further information as to when the company will launch the new handsets and the approximate pricing. Based on the name, we infer that the price will be comparatively less than the full-blown Mi 8. You can consider Vivo 9 and Vivo V9 Youth models where the Youth variant is being sold at less price than Vivo V9.
There are reports that the pricing will start from CNY 2500 but we don’t have any confirmation. That said, you should only accept the above information with a pinch of salt.
