Logitech has announced the second annual ‘Work From Home Week’ (#WFHWeek) from October 8 to 12, 2018. As part of the #WFHWeek, employees around the globe will be encouraged to work from home. The main purpose of the #WFHWeek is to showcase the benefits of working from home. According to company sources, the work from home will enhance productivity, employee morale including higher talent retention rates.
Commenting on the development, Sumanta Datta, Managing Director and Cluster Head, India, Indonesia, and South West Asia, Logitech disclosed that employees located in India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh will be encouraged to work from home for the entire week. The #WFHWeek will not only improve productivity but also lower load on public infrastructure. It reduces emissions and creates carbon savings.
The company revealed that WFHWeek participants saved more than 60,000 kg of CO2 by working from home in 2017. This is equivalent to 250,000 kilometers driven in a standard car. Moreover, Logitech employees also saved 90 minutes of the daily commute and the time was used for video conferencing and working with other collaboration tools.
During the #WFHWeek 2018, Logitech employees will work with a wide range of webcams and conference cameras including Logitech BRIO & Logitech MeetUp. The company will provide these cameras to all the employees to help them to work from home effectively.
