BSNL has refreshed the Rs 525 postpaid plan in such a way to offer more data benefits for customers including Amazon Prime subscription. The revised parameters are applicable only for customers based in Kolkata. As per the revised plan, you will be able to experience 80GB data with an option of 200GB carry forwarding. Moreover, the Rs 525 postpaid plan also carries unlimited voice calls across India with the ability to send 100 SMS on a daily basis.
It is to be noted that only domestic SMS is free and you will be charged for International messages at Rs 5 per SMS. If you fully consume the allocated data limit, then you will be able to navigate the web at 40Kbps.
To attract customers, BSNL is also providing free Amazon Prime subscription with every Rs 525 postpaid plan. You will be able to purchase products from Amazon with free shipping, free 2 days delivery and much more for one year. BSNL is gearing up to launch several plans in a bid to combat competition from Reliance Jio, Vodafone Idea and much more.
We can expect the addition of several new plans before the end of 2018. It remains to be seen as to when the state-owned company will launch its own 4G services on Pan India basis. The chances of launching 4G are bleak because Reliance Jio has already captured the market share by a large extent.
