Google has rolled out fresh updates to the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X. The updates are being rolled out via OTA in a phased manner. With the rollout of the new software bits, Google has fulfilled its promise of the firmware update for not only Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X smartphones.
The company had promised the updates for two years. Moreover, you will receive three years of security patches. It remains to be seen as to whether the Nexus smartphones will receive Android Pie update.
With Google focussing more on Pixel devices, the assured update policy for the Nexus 6P and 5X will be a big boon for the tech enthusiasts. The company is currently concentrating on the pushing of the update for the Pixel series including the newly launched Pixel 3.
The Nexus 6P is equipped with a 5.7-inch (1440 x 2560) display, Snapdragon 810 processor, Adreno 430 graphics, 3GB RAM, 32GB/64GB/128GB internal storage, 12.3MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing camera loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating platform.
