Amazon has released Amazon Alexa app exclusively for Windows 10. The Amazon Alexa app for Windows 10 is available on the official Microsoft Store for all Windows 10 PCs. We checked Microsoft Store and the Alexa app is listed. However, the app is currently not yet available in India. We expect the company to push Alexa app for all users in India within the next few days.
After the installation of Alexa app on any Windows 10 PC, you can make use of “Alexa” wake keyword to initiate the cloud-based service. You can also select the button within the app to interact with Alexa. It is also possible to enable Alexa using the keyboard shortcut.
If you click microsoft.com/en-us/p/alexa/9n12z3cctcnz?activetab=pivot:overviewtab, you will view a page with Blue-colored Get button.
If you select get, the app will open inside the Microsoft Store app. You can download and install the app after its availability.
With Alexa, you can extend your life and make use of your voice to fetch news, weather, songs and much more. The Alexa also includes an ability to perform complex calculations. Moreover, Alexa is designed to manage smart home appliances such as TV. Amazon has designed Alexa to simplify the lifestyle to a great extent.
According to Amazon, the Alexa app will be refreshed with PC-specific capabilities early 2019. The app also will get periodic updates with bug fixes and features. The Redmond-based giant and Amazon recently released a preview of Cortana and Alexa, which enables Cortana users to access Alexa.
