LG has rolled out Android 9 Pie for the LG G7 One smartphone. Loaded with Android One, the LG G7 One is the first handset to receive Android Pie. The presence of the update was first spotted by ChrisAG who is the senior member of XDA.
According to reports, the Android 9 Pie update for the LG G7 One will first hit Canada followed by other countries. The size of the update measures 812MB and hence you should activate Wi-Fi to avoid interruption. In addition to Android 9 Pie, the software bit also includes November security patches.
It is also advisable to free up storage space up to 1.5GB to pave way for the smooth installation. You should also charge the handset completely. If the charge is 50 percent, then you should connect the device to the AC power source.
The LG G7 One is equipped with 6.1-inch QHD+ display, Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB expandable internal storage, 16MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing camera loaded with Android One. The device draws power via the integrated 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
Like in the case of all LG devices, the G7 One also comes with 32-bit Quad DAC alongside DTS:X support. The handset also provides support for HDR10 including a fingerprint sensor. The smartphone is also resistant to water via IP68 and carries MIL-STD 810G ratings.
