Black Friday 2018 In India: Explosive Survey Results

Black Friday falls on the fourth Friday of November every year. It was initially celebrated in the US but now Black Friday 2018 is also celebrated across emerging countries that includes India. As part of the Black Friday 2018, analysts from Picodi conducted research to gauge the response from the people in India regarding the Black Friday.

The results clearly reveal what we can expect from Black Friday this year. The survey results disclose the attitude of consumers toward Black Friday and how much money Indians are going to spend during Black Friday shopping spree.

According to Black Friday 2018 Picodi research, nearly 32 percent of the people have expressed an interest to shop during the Black Friday. The level of marketing exp by the e-commerce retailers have hyped the interest to buy products during the sale.

The survey reveals that 66 percent of buyers save money to do shopping. Moreover, 16 percent of respondents decided to purchase on EMI basis on Black Friday. The remaining 18 percent of the survey respondents disclosed that they earn enough to afford some bigger shopping.

During Black Friday, as many as 42 percent of the consumers are gearing up to purchase 2-3 products and 12 percent are going to go on a shopping spree and buy more than 5 items. Moreover, 59 percent of consumers already have an idea of what’s going to end up inside the shopping carts of individual e-commerce companies. The main reason is attributed to the increase in the number of guides posted by various tech blogs and via social media.

Black Friday is also a gateway for the pre-Christmas sale season. Hence, it’s a great opportunity for people who would like to gift Gadgets to their friends and relatives. As per Black Friday 2018 Picodi research, nearly 16 percent of consumers will take advantage of Black Friday for the purpose to purchase Christmas gifts. While 58 percent of the respondents state that Black Friday is an occasion to get a product for themselves, 23 percent opt to purchase something for your household.

The survey reveals that 77 percent of people claim that they can find the real discounts among all the Black Friday offers. However, 23 percent of the people are of the opinion that sales are fictional and not worthy of the attention of consumers. According to the 2017 statistics, the average discount during Black Friday in India reached 46 percent.
