Vodafone Idea has announced a strategic partnership with Hoichoi, the world’s biggest Bangla entertainment content provider. As part of the partnership, customers will be able to access Hoichoi’s exclusive digital content including Vodafone Play, Idea Movies, and TV app respectively.
The collaboration between Vodafone Idea and Hoichoi provides access to Original shows and movies along with recently announced 30 Original shows and 12 Original movies for the next one year. In addition to Byomkesh, customers will be able to access Hello, Cartoon, DupurThakurpo, and Charitraheen. The shows are dubbed in Tamil and Hindi to enable the content to reach out to a wider audience.
Commenting on the development, Sashi Shankar, Chief Marketing Officer, Vodafone Idea disclosed that the company strive to delight customers with entertainment on-the-go and offer them enriching content. The partnership strengthens the content proposition of the company and also shows commitment to providing best offerings.
Shankar added that Video and vernacular are the new drivers of growth in internet consumption today, especially in non-metros. The sharp increase in the availability of regional content has added new demographics of video consumers. Hence, you can visualize a sharp increase in video consumption.
Responding to media, Vishnu Mohta, Co-Founder, Hoichoi revealed that Hoichoi and Vodafone Idea have joined hands to deliver unique content by reaching out to a wide customer base. The ultimate mission is to provide non-stop entertainment and streaming on Vodafone Play will definitely garner a positive response.
Mohta also said that they have dubbed the shows in both Hindi and Tamil. Hoichoi will add a wide range of originals frequently and customers will be able to access a huge number of shows and films after three months.
