BSNL has revised Rs 98 prepaid plan and is available across India. According to reports, the state-owned company will offer 2GB daily data coupled with Eros Now subscription along with Rs 98 prepaid plan. However, the validity time has been reduced by two days and is now valid for 28 days. Previously, BSNL used to only provide Eros Now subscription with Rs 78 prepaid plan. The company has extended to Rs 98 prepaid plan in addition to Rs 333 and Rs 444 plans in a bid to compete with the likes of Reliance Jio.
BSNL has decided to provide 2GB daily data instead of the 1.5GB, which was provided previously. The bandwidth will be reduced to 80 kbps after the completion of the FUP limit. The catch is that you have to recharge once in 24 days from the date of the original recharge.
To take advantage of the Eros Now subscription, you should navigate to Eros Now mobile app and login with your BSNL prepaid plan number. The Rs 333 prepaid plan provides unlimited voice calling capability alongside 3GB data per day. If you would like to have more data, you should purchase Rs 444 plan that provides 4GB of data with Eros Now subscription.
Even though BSNL provides a wide range of plans, you will find it confusing to choose a particular data plan. Without 4G implementation, the company is really struggling to maintain customer retention. The management should come up with technology-oriented oriented packages with a full-fledged mobile based customer management system.
