Redmi Note 7 launched in India: Everything you need to know

Xiaomi has launched Redmi Note 7 in India starting at an attractive price of Rs 9999. The Redmi Note 7 will be available on March 6 on both Mi.com and Flipkart. Xiaomi has priced the device attractively to motivate customers to buy the device. During the launch event, the company revealed that they have lost phones during transit from its factory and are embedding new chipset.

Display

The main attraction of the Redmi Note 7 is the addition of a 6.3-inch in-cell LCD LTPS FHD+ (2340×1080, 409PPI) Dot Notch display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. This is the first time Xiaomi has integrated this aspect ratio deviating from the traditional 19:9 display. The screen bears 1500:1 aspect ration with 450-nit brightness. Moreover, the display provides support for sunlight, night reading modes respectively.

Performance

The Redmi Note 7 features Snapdragon 660 AIE Processer, Adreno 512 graphics processor, 3GB/4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB expandable internal storage powered by 4000mAh battery. Xiaomi has embedded Quick Charge 4 technology, which helps you to charge the handset quickly. You will be able to extend the storage up to 256GB via microSD card slot. The handset ships with support for all major connectivity technologies and sensors. Xiaomi has included a 5V/2A charger inside the box.

Camera

Unlike Redmi Note 7 Pro which has 48MP camera, the Redmi Note 7 is equipped with a dual camera comprising of 12MP and 2MP Ai-enabled sensors. The sensors feature f/2.2 aperture lens with support for auto-focus, AI portrait mode, AI scene detection, panorama mode including face recognition and HDR imaging capabilities. The selfie camera bears a 13MP camera with f/2.0 aperture. The front camera also offers support for AI Portrait mode, AI Beautify, face recongnition, HDR imaging including AI scene detection with 12 scenes. It is possible to capture FHD videos at 60fps and 30 fps, while the HD video can be shot at 30fps.

Pricing

While the 3GB RAM model with 32GB storage is priced at Rs 9999, the 4GB RAM variant with 64GB storage will be available for Rs 11999. The product package includes Redmi Note 7, power adapter, USB Type-C cable, user guide, warranty card including clear soft case.
