Xiaomi has rolled out a fresh update for the flagship Xiaomi Mi 9 smartphone. Roland Quandt aka @rquandt took to Twitter and revealed the availability of the update for the Xiaomi Mi 9 along with the screenshot. The update is being made available over OTA in a phased manner and it will take a few days for the new software bits to reflect on your device.
Xiaomi has introduced optimized UI for displays with a notch including the addition of a Moon mode for AI-enabled camera. You will also find new improvements related to tracking moving objects while recording videos. The camera app has been updated with improved image quality.

With software update version MIUI V10.2.12.0.PFAEUXM, the latest software update for Mi 9 measures 456MB in size. You will be able to download the update easily via Wi-Fi or 4G connectivity. If you have a reliable 4G connectivity with 1GB daily bandwidth, you can make use of the connectivity to download the new update.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 is equipped with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display, Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage loaded with Android Oreo. On the rear, you will find the presence of a 48MP primary camera, 12MP telephoto sensor alongside a 16MP ultrawide-angle sensor. The telephoto sensor provides support for 2x optical zooming functionality.
The main highlight of the Mi 9 is that the device provides support for 20W fast charging coupled with 27W wired fast charging. However, you will have to purchase a dedicated wireless charging bundle with 20W pad and 27W power brick. The Lei Jun-owned company has bundled an 18W power brick along with the product package.
