Samsung is widely known to release new smartphones with trending technologies. The concept of the bezel-less display was initially adopted by Samsung and other companies followed the suit. The company is gearing up to launch a two way foldable smartphone and the new development has been revealed via a patent.
Samsung had launched Galaxy Fold alongside the flagship Galaxy S10 series. There are reports that the Korean manufacturer had filed a patent way back in 2017, which reveals the imminent launch of a two way folding smartphone. If launched, the new two way folding smartphone will set new benchmarks in the industry. The images leaked out from the patent indicate the fact that the upcoming device will be more or less identical to that of Xiaomi’s foldable smartphone.
The leaked images of the two way folding smartphone reveal thinner bezels alongside a large display enclosed in a compact frame. It is possible to fold the display from the left and right side of the smartphone. If you examine the patent image carefully, you will not be able to find the traditional headphone port. Moreover, there are no active sensors related to the camera on the smartphone.
We don’t have any information about when Samsung will launch the rumored two way folding smartphone but the mills point out to launch at around MWC 2020. With the steep increase in competing handsets, you can expect the upcoming two-way folding smartphone to be priced at a budget-friendly price.
