Microsoft Edge Preview Released: Features and How To download

Microsoft Edge is a popular web browser available in Windows 10-based computers, laptops, tablets and convertibles. Microsoft had recently announced that the product team is working on to adopt the Chromium open source project in the development of Microsoft Edge Preview web browser. The company has fulfilled its promise and released the Microsoft Edge Preview version as per the Chromium project.

According to the company sources, the real intention of the Preview version of Microsoft Edge is to make the web a better place for all people. Moreover, the Redmond-based software giant has adopted Chromium open source project in the preview version. The purpose of using Chromium is to not only create enhanced web compatibility but also less fragmentation of the web.

Microsoft revealed that they are making contributions to Chromium in areas like accessibility, touch, ARM64 including other related areas. Moreover, the company is working in close contact with Google and other stakeholders from the open source community as part of the Microsoft Edge Preview project.

How to download Microsoft Edge Preview?

To download Microsoft Edge Preview, you should navigate to the official Microsoft Edge Insider portal. You should select “Download Dev Channel for Windows 10” button. You have to follow the on-screen instructions and the entire download process will be completed within 10 minutes.

It is possible to navigate to a website by providing URL or you can search the web using keywords. By default, Microsoft has added Google, Facebook and Office icons on the dashboard but you can add more URLs by selecting the big “+” icon.
