Asus has started to roll out Android Pie software update for a wide range of smartphones such as ZenFone Max Pro M1, ZenFone Max Pro M2, and ZenFone Max M2. After the installation of the Android 9.0 Pie update, you will be able to work with an improved, smarter, refined and simplified user interface.
Commenting on the development, Dinesh Sharma, Head – Mobile Business, ASUS India revealed that the company expresses thanks to all the Power users who have participated in the beta program. Sharma also appreciated the feedback from the community, which helped the product team to fine-tune the Android Pie software for all users.
The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 is equipped with a 5.99-inch (1080 x 2160, 18:9) IPS display, Snapdragon 636 processor, Adreno 509 graphics processor, 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM, 32GB/64GB/128GB expandable internal storage loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo operating platform. The 3GB RAM model is supported by 32GB storage.
Asus hs integrated dual camera comprising of 13MP and 5MP sensors with f/2.2 and f/2.4 apertures respectively. However, the 6GB RAM variant ships with a combination of 16MP and 5MP sensors. The selfie camera offers an 8MP sensor, while the 6GB RAM model carries a 16MP sensor. The handset draws power via the embedded 5000mAh battery with support for fast charging.
Asus also disclosed that the Android 9.0 Pie update for ZenFone will be rolled out in a phased manner via Firmware Over The Air (FOTA). If you are currently working with ZenFone Max Pro M1, ZenFone Max Pro M2 and ZenFone Max M2, you will receive an update message notification within a few days. alternatively, you can also manually check for the presence of the update by tapping the Settings icon.
