Xiaomi never sleeps and it’s evident from the fact that the Lei Jun-owned company has officially launched Redmi K20 series smartphones such as Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro with trending specifications. The main highlight of the Redmi K20 Pro is the integration of a Snapdragon 855 processor with a budget-friendly price tag. However, the Redmi K20 comes with Snapdragon 730 processor.
Display
The Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro smartphones feature a 6.39-inch AMOLED FHD display. The main attraction is that the display doesn’t have any notch. You won’t find thick bezels on the sides like standard smartphones. Moreover, the handset ships with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Performance
While the Redmi K20 draws power via the Snapdragon 730 processor, the Redmi K20 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 855 processor. The graphics part is accompanied by Adreno 620, which helps you to play extreme games quickly. The 6GB RAM model offers 64GB storage, while the 8GB RAM variant ships with 128GB storage. The Pro version will also be available in 256GB storage capacity.
Camera
The rear side features triple camera consisting of 48MP IMX586 (f/1.75 aperture) sensor, 23MP secondary sensor, and an 8MP telephoto lens. The front side bears a 20MP popup sensor. You should note that the camera specifications are same for both standard and Pro variants.
Battery
The Redmi K20 series is powered by a 4000mAh battery with support for 27W fast charging technology. Like in the case of all other Xiaomi Redmi handsets, the Redmi K20 series will be pre-loaded with MIUI operating platform.
Pricing
The 6GB RAM variant with 64GB storage of Redmi K20 will be available at Rs 20000, while the 128GB storage model will cost your pockets Rs 21000. If you would like to buy the Pro model with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, you need to shell out Rs 25000. While the 8GB RAM, 64GB storage will cost Rs 28000, the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage will cost Rs 30000.
Availability
We don’t have any idea as to when the Redmi K20 series will launch in India. In all probability, the smartphone will launch with a new name by the end of June. The chances of releasing a smartphone launched in China with the same name are bleak.
