Xiaomi has officially announced the launch of Xiaomi Redmi 7A at a budget-friendly price of Rs 5999. Tagged as #SmartDeshKaSmartphone, the Redmi 7A is powered by Snapdragon 439 processor coupled with Sony IMX 486 sensor and AI face unlock capabilities. The smartphone borrows power via the integrated 4000mAh battery, which is capable of delivering a standby time of two days.

The Redmi 7A features a 5.45-inch HD+ full-screen display, Snapdragon 439 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB/32GB expandable internal storage powered by a 4000mAh battery.

The company claims that the smartphone is capable of delivering a standby time of 17 days with up to 17 hours of video playback in HD mode. You can make 4G VoLTE calls for up to 30 hours. Xiaomi has eliminated the traditional fingerprint sensor and implemented AI face unlock as an alternative.

The rear side carries a 12MP Sony IMX486 sensor, while the front-facing camera beats a paltry 5MP sensor. You can’t expect the device to snap stunning selfies. The phone is pre-loaded with MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie operating platform. The AI screen detection capability will be made available in the upcoming OTA update.

Talking about the price, the Redmi 7A with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage will cost Rs 5999. The 32GB storage model also includes the same 2GB RAM and is priced at Rs 6199.

As part of the Xiaomi anniversary celebrations and the launch offer, you will be able to purchase Redmi 7A with 16GB storage for Rs 5799 starting July 11. You can pick from Matte Gold, Matte Blue, and Matte Black color variants.

The handset will be available via Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home retail stores. The phone will be useful for students and senior citizens because of the low price with budget features.
