HMD Global has announced the launch of Nokia 220 4G and Nokia 105 feature phones starting at Rs 999. The main highlight of the Nokia 220 4G is the integration of 4G technology. The handsets are manufactured using plastic alongside a candy bar design. While the keypad is rubberized for Nokia 105, the Nokia 220 4G variant carries a plastic design. The screen is coated with QQVGA color display, which helps you to visualize content clearly.
The Nokia 220 4G is equipped with a 2.4-inch QQVGA display, 16MB RAM coupled with 24MB internal storage. The handset offers a VGA camera loaded with FeatureOS. Moreover, the device also provides support for Bluetooth 4.2, FM Radio, MP3 Player, GSM, GPRS, LTE1 Cat-1 and 4G connectivity with 2G rollback.
The Nokia 220 4G ships with a traditional headphone port and draws power via the embedded 1200mAh battery. The phone is capable of delivering 6.3 hours of talk time alongside a standby time of over 27 days.
The Nokia 105 features a 1.77-inch display, 4MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. The phone is pre-loaded with Series 30+ operating platform. The 800mAh battery integrated with the Nokia 105 smartphone is capable of delivering a talk time of 15 hours with an overall standby time of 26 days. The FM radio is accompanied by a powerful LED torchlight. The device supports Micro USB paired with headphone port. You will also find plenty of pre-installed games, which you can play during spare time.
We expect the availability of the Nokia 220 4G and Nokia 105 around the middle of August in Europe followed by emerging markets like India. The Nokia 220 4G is available for EUR 39, while the Nokia 105 will be up for grabs for EUR 13. The company sources revealed to us that the devices will be available in several color variants.
