Meanwhile, the Fitbit Aria Air smart scale will be available at 4999 on popular online retailers.

Commenting on the development, James Park, Chief Executive Officer, Fitbit disclosed that customers are on a lookout for a smartwatch with advanced features. Hence, the company released the Premium variant. Park added that Fitbit product is capable of delivering five days of battery life, while the competing products only deliver a single day of battery life. The company has adopted advanced manufacturing methodologies to reduce heat.

Fitbit is fighting hard with industry majors such as Samsung, Apple, and Honor. Moreover, customers are moving towards fitness trackers such as Mi Band 4, which ships with premium features at an affordable price. With Fitbit Versa 2, the company has integrated Amazon Alexa, which will set new benchmarks in the wearables segment. You can just tap and ask queries via Alexa voice assistant.

Honor also attracted customers with budget-friendly fitness trackers. It is essential for companies like Fitbit to move ahead and provide low-cost alternatives in a bid to retain the competitive market. The company recently entered into a contract with Singapore Government to provide fitness trackers and services for a particular scheme.
