Asus Pushes FOTA update for ZenFone Max M2, ASUS 6Z, ZenFone Max Pro M2 and ZenFone Max Pro M1

Asus has rolled out FOTA update for the ZenFone Max M2, ASUS 6Z, ZenFone Max Pro M2 and ZenFone Max Pro M1 smartphones. In a statement released to the press, the company disclosed that the product team is constantly working towards ensuring improved performance on all smartphones and hence released the FOTA update.

The Asus ZenFone Max M2 (ZB632KL) has been updated to v16.2018.1908.48 and it brings in improved charging efficiency. After the installation of the update, you will experience long charging protection. This means the ZenFone Max M2 will be able to charge safely for an extended time without damaging the battery after the installation of the FOTA update.

If you connect the device for more than 48 hours, it will disconnect from charging automatically. The charging will resume only upon reaching 60 percent. Asus also pushed August Google security patches along with the latest update. Hence, your smartphone will be free from any security vulnerabilities or privacy breaches.

The Asus 6Z smartphone FOTA update has been updated to v16.1220.1908.189_M3.6.17.31_20190814 with support for 18 smart key functions. The list of 18 new programmable pre-sets for the smart key are listed below

The latest FOTA update brings in an improved camera experience with crisp image quality. The call audio quality has also been improved in the new update. Like in the case of the Asus ZenFone Max M2, the Asus 6z brings in the latest August Google security patches with bug fixes for security vulnerabilities.

Asus also updated ZenFone Max Pro M2 and ZenFone Max Pro M1 to 16.2017.1906.069 and 16.2017.1908.057 with Google security patches for July and August. Your device will be free from security vulnerabilities and privacy breaches.
