Apple iPhone 11 First Impressions

Apple launched the much-anticipated iPhone 11 in the US. The handset will be made available in India by the end of September. The iPhone 11 is a slightly trimmed version of the iPhone 11 Pro series. Let’s find out the specifications of the iPhone 11.

Display

The iPhone 11 features a 6.1-inch all-screen Liquid Retina HD IPS display with a resolution of 1792×828 pixels and 326 PPI. With 1400:1 contrast ratio, the iPhone 11 provides support for true tone display, wide color display including haptic touch. The screen offers fingerprint‑resistant oleophobic coating with support for multiple languages.

Performance

The iPhone 11 is integrated with Apple A13 Bionic chip coupled with third-generation neural engine. The phone is resistant to water via IP68 technology and can resist a maximum depth of 2 meters up to 30 minutes. The handset is available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB internal storage. The handset is pre-loaded with iOS 13 operating platform.

Camera

The iPhone 11 features dual camera comprising of 12MP ultra-wide and wide cameras. The ultra-wide camera sensor offers an f/2.4 aperture with a 120-degree field of view. The wide aperture bears f/1.8 aperture with support for 2x optical zoom out and 5x digital zoom capability. The phone offers advanced bokeh and depth control. Moreover, it offers portrait lighting with six effects including optical image stablization. The camera provides support for Auto image stablization, burst mode and photo geotagging. You will be able to shoot 4K videos at 24fps, 30fps, and 60fps respectively. It is possible to shoot FHD videos at 30fps and 60fps, while the HD videos at 30fps.

The TrueDepth camera includes a 12MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The sensor offers portrait mode with advanced bokeh and depth control. You will be able to work with six effects including Animoji and Memoji. While you can shoot 4K videos at 34fps, 30fps, and 60fps, the FHD videos can be shot at 30fps and 60fps. You can also capture FHD slo-mo videos at 120fps. The camera also provides support for retina flash, auto image stablization, and burst mode.

Battery

The iPhone 11 is capable of delivering one hour extra backup time when compared with iPhone XR. The device can deliver video playback of up to 17 hours and audio playback of up to 65 hours. The phone provides support for fast charging where you can charge up to 50 percent in 30 minutes. The company has included an 18W power adapter with support for wireless charging.

Price

The 64GB variant of the iPhone 11 is available for $699, while the 128GB costs $749. The 256GB model is up for grabs at $849. The device is available in unlocked option as well and in six color options. The iPhone 11 pre-order starts September 13, 2019, and can be purchased via the official Apple store.
