Amazon India creates additional jobs ahead of the festive sale

Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale

Amazon India has added 90000 seasonal and temporary jobs for the upcoming Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale. The new employment positions were created in major cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Pune including other delivery destinations. The Great Indian Festival sale starts on September 29 but Amazon Prime members will be able to buy from September 28, 2019.

The e-commerce giant has created the employment opportunities across their network of the fulfillment centres, sorting centres, delivery stations including partner fulfillment network. Amazon also created jobs for customer service sites to prepare for the Great Indian Festival Sale.

According to Amazon sources, the increased capacity in the supply chain network will provide not only enhanced customer experience but also will boost delivery capabilities. The company is expecting a huge spike in the orders over the next few days after the start of the Great Indian Festival on September 29. It is to be noted that the sale will open for Amazon Prime members starting September 28, 2019.

Commenting on the development, Akhil Saxena, Vice President – Customer Fulfilment, Amazon India disclosed that the company is excited to announce new opportunities for more than 90000 seasonal associates across the wide network of fulfillment network.

The company aims to provide excellent seamless support ahead of the Amazon great Indian shopping Festival. Saxena added that the company has doubled the total count of the seasonal associates when compared to the Great Indian Festival Sale 2018.

Amazon has expanded the delivery network by adding more than 1400 delivery stations across 750 cities. The Amazon Great Indian Festival starts on September 29, 2019, but Amazon Prime customers will be able to shop from September 28, 12 PM itself.

You can expect great deals for smartphones, laptops, electronics and other accessories. Interestingly, Flipkart Big Billion Days will also start from September 29 but Plus holders will be able to shop from September 28, 8 PM itself.
