Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the next-generation Redmi Note 8 Pro in India at a launch event to held in New Delhi on October 16. The company is expected to launch Redmi Note 8 as well along with the Pro version.
Even though the Redmi Note 8 Pro was launched in China, it took nearly 5 months for the company to launch the device in India. It could be due to many factors. The primary reason is that Xiaomi devices shipped to India was manufactured in India under Make in India initiative. Hence, it will take some time for the company to arrange the production work.
According to reports, the Redmi Note 8 Pro #64MPQuadCamBeast will feature a large dewdrop display, latest processor coupled with quad camera. You can also expect a bigger battery when compared with the Redmi Note 7 Pro.
Redmi Note 8 Pro Specifications
On the internals, the Redmi Note 8 Pro features a 6.53-inch FHD+ (2340×1080, 19.5:9) display, MediaTek Helio G90T processor. 6GB/8GB RAM coupled with 64GB and 128GB expandable internal storage loaded with MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie operating platform.
The rear side will bear quad-camera comprising of 64MP primary sensor, 8MP secondary sensor, 2MP and 2MP third and fourth sensors respectively. The selfie camera offers a 20MP sensor, using which you can capture stunning selfies.
The smartphone borrows power via the embedded 4500mAh battery with fast charging support. The reports suggest that the Redmi Note 8 Pro will be equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection alongside a fingerprint sensor.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro will be available in 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM variants. The Chinese version starts at 6GB but the Indian retail unit will have 4GB model as well. The storage capacity starts at 64GB and will do up to 128GB. Unlike Flipkart, the Redmi Note 8 Pro will be available on Amazon India and Mi.com from the end of October.
