The Your Phone Companion – Link to Windows developed by Microsoft has become the number one free app on the Google Play Store. Vishnu Nath, Program Manager at Microsoft took to Twitter and revealed the news that the app has indeed become number one in Google Play Store.
Vishnu added that he never thought that he could see link to Windows on the top of the Android apps list. The Your Phone Companion has taken over popular apps such as Facebook Messenger, Instagram, TikTok and others.

The Your Phone Companion provides an ability to sync text messages and access recent photos from your Android phone to Windows 10 PC. Moreover, you can also mirror Android apps installed on your PC. Going forward, you can expect features with which you can sync phone calls from an Android device to your Windows 10 PC. Microsoft is also working to integrate battery indicator functionality and wallpaper syncing from Android to Windows PC.

The first step is to link your phone and PC from your smartphone by signing with your Microsoft account. You have to allow permission after that. The final step is to install Your Phone Companion app on your PC and sign in using the same Microsoft credentials. The Android app also shows a demo of the steps required to install the app on your Windows PC.
