Microsoft Edge browser is on a refresh mode since the Redmond-based software giant has rolled out a new logo for the browser. The release of a new Microsoft Edge logo assumes great importance since the company is gearing up for a transition from the erstwhile Internet Explorer. The Microsoft Edge logo looks like “e”, which looks more or less like a fluent design language. Microsoft will most probably reveal the new logo at the Ignite conference.
Microsoft has released a new logo to combat the competition from Google Chrome in the desktop browser sector. The critics are of the opinion that the latest logo looks similar to that of the old IE browser.
Vishnu Nath aka @VishnuNath took to Twitter and revealed the new Microsoft Edge logo. He also added a short note stating whether you liked the new Edge logo with the hashtag #comingsoon.

Microsoft is currently working towards the Edge browser based on Google’s Chromium open-source engine. The main purpose of the Microsoft Edge browser is to tap the market share on non-Windows devices and also to compete with Vivaldi and Opera. While Google Chrome accounts for 68% browser market place, Firefox bags a market share of 9.25 percent. The Apple Safari is at the weakest spot with 8 percent, while Microsoft Edge grabs a paltry market share of 4.51 percent.
Mozilla also revealed that the decision of Microsoft will cut the market share of Google Chrome to a large extent. It remains to be seen as to whether the tech community will accept the decision of Microsoft. Microsoft is working hard to increase the market share from the existing 4.51 percent.
