Microsoft launches new merged Office app with powerful features

Microsoft has released a new Office app, which combines Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint in one single app at the ignite conference. The newly launched app is available for Android and iOS operating platforms via Google Play Store and Apple’s TestFlight program.

The main purpose of the launch of the new Office app is to enhance mobile productivity. Moreover, it will avoid users to download apps for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint separately. Microsoft has developed the app in such a way that you can easily create content with a minimal learning curve.

It is possible to snap the picture of a document and convert it into a Word file. You can also create tables from a printed page to Microsoft Excel. The possibilities are endless and it’s up to you to make optimum use of the app. Microsoft Edge is currently available for Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, macOS, iOS and Android operating platforms.

Commenting on the development, Jared Spataro, Corporate Vice President for Microsoft 365 disclosed that the new Actions panel is capable of completing a wide range of on the go tasks. This includes creation and signing PDFs including sharing of files across various devices.

That being said, the Redmond-based software giant also disclosed that the new Chromium-based Microsoft Edge browser will be available starting January 15. You will be able to work with the enterprise tab page with direct access to Microsoft 365 files.
