Asus has rolled out FOTA update for the Asus 6z smartphone. With firmware version 17.1810.1910.63_M3.18.40.6_20191028, the Asus 6z FOTA update ships with upgraded version of Android 10 Q operating platform. The latest FOTA update brings in the much-awaited dark mode, smart app support, and gesture-based navigation among others.
The ASUS 6z FOTA Update includes a dark mode, which offers a system-wide dark theme across the UI. The Smart app support on messages provides a wide range of actions such as opening of maps if an address is sent. This feature eliminates the need to copy text links and paste it in the appropriate app manually.
After the installation of the ASUS 6z FOTA Update, you can eliminate onscreen navigation keys for a dynamic gesture-based UI navigation. The apps will occupy the full size of the display. The Android 10 FOTA update for Asus 6z also includes enhanced privacy and security. Moreover, you will receive faster security updates in the future. The update also upgrades the Google Play services for an improved app experience.
In a statement released to the press, Asus revealed that downgrade to Android 9 is possible if you download firmware files from ASUS support webpage. Before proceeding to download the FOTA update, you should capture backup of the data. It is also advisable to charge the device up to 100 percent to avoid interruptions.
You can also connect to the AC power if the battery levels are low. As always, you should verify the storage capacity and free up over 5GB of extra storage to provide room for an uninterrupted installation.
